Dear CCPA High School Students and Families,
As we move further into the 2026–2027 school year, I want to take a moment to thank our students, families, teachers, and staff for the work that has gone into building a strong start to the year. The first few months of school have given us many reasons to be proud, while also reminding us that the habits and expectations we establish now will help determine our success throughout the year.
At CCPA High School, our goal remains clear: to provide a safe, respectful, and academically challenging environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed and remain on track for graduation and life beyond high school.
Academics must remain at the center of our work. Students should know where they stand in each of their classes and take responsibility for completing assignments, participating in class, asking for help when needed, and preparing for assessments. Our teachers continue to examine student data and adjust instruction to provide additional support and challenge where needed. Families can help by regularly discussing grades and academic progress with their students and encouraging them to take advantage of the support available at school.
Attendance is equally important. Students cannot benefit from strong instruction if they are not in class. We need every student at school, on time, every day. Arriving late, missing classes, or being absent regularly can quickly create academic gaps that become increasingly difficult to overcome. Every instructional minute matters.
We also continue to emphasize the daily expectations that help create an orderly and productive learning environment. Students are expected to arrive in proper school uniform, carry an approved clear book bag, follow our personal-device expectations, report to classes on time, and demonstrate appropriate behavior throughout the school day. Consistency with these expectations allows teachers to spend more time teaching and students to spend more time learning.
The CCPA Way—Care, Collaboration, Positivity, and Accountability—continues to guide the expectations we have for our students. We want these values to be visible in our classrooms, hallways, activities, and interactions with one another. We will continue celebrating students who demonstrate these values while providing support and guidance to students who need help meeting expectations.
There is much to look forward to during the remainder of the school year. Our students will continue participating in academic opportunities, college and career preparation, athletics, student activities, and experiences that help prepare them for their futures. We want every student to take advantage of these opportunities and make the most of their high school experience.
As we continue through the school year, I encourage every student to take a moment to reflect on their progress. Celebrate what is going well, identify areas that need improvement, and make the necessary adjustments now. Whether the goal is improving a grade, arriving to school on time, increasing attendance, becoming more involved, or making better choices, there is still time to make meaningful progress.
We have made a strong start, but there is still a great deal of work ahead of us. By remaining focused on strong instruction, high expectations, positive relationships, and student responsibility, we will continue moving CCPA High School forward.
